About Us

  • Simetria Publishing House was established in 1992 under the auspices of the Union of Architects of Romania (UAR) with the main purpouse to support the publishing of catalogs of architecture, exhibitions and symposium organized by the UAR in the country and abroad. Simetria contributed to Romanian culture, arts and architecture by publishing original works and documentary materials of Romanian architects for specialists and the general public.
  • Publishes bi- and trilingual versions of research studies by the Romanian specialists offering new perspectives in the fields of history of Romanian architecture and of theory of architecture.
  • Publishes fundamental bibliography in the fields of architecture and town - planing, cultural heritage, arts.
  • Among some of our partners are: Union of Architects of Romania, Order of Architects of Romania, Ministry of Culture of Romania which participated in almost all Simetria editorial projects, the Cultural Service Nicolae Iorga near the French Embassy in Romania that was a good connection with the prestigious French publisher Seuil, Paris, holder of copyright to the fundamental works of architecture and urbanism.
